About this record
In the fall of 1966, Governor Warren Knowles chartered a committee to examine how effective Gaylord Nelson's 1961 Outdoor Recreation Act Program had been. This pamphlet is their report. It not only details what had been done in the previous five years but also recommends ways that the program could be expanded. We have included here its opening 26 pages but not a 15-page appendix with draft language for a bill to continue ORAP.Citation
