About this record

By 1990, over 2,500 Hmong refugees had settled in La Crosse. The La Crosse Area Hmong Mutual Assistance Association was established in 1982 as a charitable and educational channel for Hmong making the adjustment to life in the United States. The organization developed several programs aimed at Southeast Asian youth and this report focuses specifically on Hmong family structure and the needs of young people in the La Crosse community. It includes a section on how to provide services in a non-biased manner. This report is generously provided by the La Crosse Area Hmong Assistance Association.
