About this record

In a few paragraphs, editor Isadore Horwitz shares some of his research into Wisconsin's early Jewish history. He starts with fur-trader Jacob Franks, who arrived in Green Bay in 1794, and recounts the founding of Milwaukee's first congregation in the mid-1840s.
