About this record
An introductory note says this pocket-sized pamphlet was "prepared by a member [i.e., Sarah H. Richards] of the Wisconsin Woman Suffrage Association, for the use of its officers, members and other friends of the cause." After briefly reviewing attempts to secure women's right to vote in the United States since 1848, it describes individuals and organizations that led the suffrage campaign in Wisconsin, 1848-1885. A short section is devoted to "Special Friends of the Cause," after which members of the state association are individually listed.
