About this record

The Wisconsin Loyalty Legion was created to support the U.S. effort in World War I. During 1917-1918 it organized media campaigns and public events in order to (in the words of one historian) "stifle dissent and generate conformance to an inflexible and irrational standard of loyalty." After briefly reviewing  the history of the Legion, this pamphlet details its activities throughout the state and provides propaganda for local affiliates to use in support of the war effort.
