About this record

In April of 1854, just a month after Joshua Glover had been spirited away via the underground railroad, an Anti-Slave Catchers' convention was called in Milwaukee to oppose the federal Fugitive Slave Act. This poster seeks to unite all people opposed to slavery or to slave-catchers, and to keep Wisconsin free from "human kidnappers."
